Ben and Chris Blaine (two film makers) spoke to us about some of the short films they have made and how they got in to making short films. I found out…

Their first successful short film was called ‘Free Speech’ , it took a day and a half to make all togther.

They have been making short films for ten years.

They got in to the business with no experience except practicing filming they done at school and managed to work them selves up.

Some important advice they gave us was to keep all the contacts you know and friends for the future.

Many of their ideas have come from life experiences that have gave them inspiration to make short films.

Another tip of advice is to put yourself out there as things will not come to you.

After listening to Ben and Chris I realized how long it takes to produce a short film and how much work is actually put into it.

After the Blaine brothers spoke to us, it gave me different ideas for my previous short film I made (the conversation) some changes I could of made are:

.Adding some of my own ideas to the script using inspiration.

.Using different camera angles throughout not just one.

.Practicing filming before filming the actual conversation.

.Also using fading effects to block out the jump shots.
